A history of the first wave of Toronto punk rock and new wave music, beginning with The Ramones' first appearance in 1976 and continuing until "The Last Pogo" in December, 1978.The movie contains archival footage, rare photos and interviews with the major and minor local players, as well as interviews with musicians from NYC, including The Dictators' Andy Shernoff, manager Danny Fields, The Dead Boys' Cheetah Chrome, The Ramones' Tommy Ramone, and England's The Police's Andy Summers and The Stranglers' Hugh Cornwell. Local Toronto, Hamilton and London Ontario bands include: Androids, Arson, Battered Wives, B-Girls, Cads, Cardboard Brains, Curse, Dents, Demics, Diodes, Doncasters, Drastic Measures, Existers, Fits, Forgotten Rebels, Government, Hummer Sisters, Johnny & The G-Rays, Lance Charles, Martha & The Muffins, Mods, NFG, Oh Those Pants, Poles, Rough Trade, Scenics, Secrets, Simply Saucer, Skulls, Swollen Members, Teenage Head, Toys, Tyranna, Ugly, and Viletones. Interviews with critics, promoters, filmmakers and photographers round out this complete picture.
